Toward Prosperity: The Transformation of Atlantic Canada’s Economy — a vital new book by leading social scientist Don Mills and economist David Campbell.

For decades, Atlantic Canada has carried the “have-not” label — facing slow population growth, aging demographics, rural challenges, and economic stagnation. But Toward Prosperity tells a different story: one of transformation, resilience, and opportunity.
This eye-opening book lays out a clear blueprint for future growth, revealing how the region is seizing momentum through immigration, innovation, green energy, and entrepreneurial revival. It’s both a powerful analysis and a hopeful roadmap, backed by striking visuals and hard data.
