This session features a fireside chat with seasoned entrepreneurs and allies, including Nic Sánchez and Connor McKiggan, who will explore how to leverage the CGLCC's Supplier Diversity and Rainbow Registered programs to drive inclusive economic growth, build trust with customers, and deliver on your DEAI commitments.

Meet Your Speakers

CONNOR MCKIGGAN (he/they)
Business Development Manager, National | Canada's 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC)
Named an ‘Inclusion warrior’ by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix while pursuing a double degree in Sustainability and International Development, Connor is a leader in breaking down gender binaries through their passion for 2S2SLGBTQI+QA+ community engagement.
Connor is excited to translate his experience into concrete policies, education, and support for workplaces that are ready to create stronger, safer spaces for 2SLGBTQI+ customers and employees.

NIC SÁNCHEZ (she/they)
Atlantic Business Development Manager | Canada's 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC)
Currently based in Moncton, NB, Nic is dedicated to driving supplier diversity in their Atlantic regional role for the CGLCC. As Business Development Manager, they are dedicated to supporting 51% 2SLGBTQI+ owned businesses to certify and grow their networks and brands, as diverse suppliers. Feel free to ask Nic about your startup, growth, export, and supplier diversity plans!
As a multidisciplinary artist and neurodiverse entrepreneur, Nic is passionate about affirming gender, equity, diversity, and inclusion in everything they do. Nic’s travels and lived experiences as a 2nd generation Colombian-Canadian have enriched their understanding of diverse cultures and business practices, globally. Their background in sociology, anthropology, community work, and business management has heightened their awareness of disparities and inspired a drive for progress.
Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, Nic loves practicing languages to connect with others.
Amongst their many talents, they are most often called upon for their skills in event management, social media marketing and contract negotiations. When off-duty, she enjoys nurturing her little ones, attending community events, taking pictures, and performing arts.
